Serve Teams

Everything you see at church is probably run by a Serve team. From the greeters at the front door to the musicians you see on stage - all of this is possible because of dedicated members in our church who have given their time and talents to help the church function and thrive.

These teams are essential in ensuring our church operates smoothly and reaches out effectively to the community, embodying Jesus' call to service as taught in the Bible.

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

1 Peter 4:10

What is our vision for Serve Teams?

To create a church where each person can use their unique gifts to build up the body of Christ so that all can come to know Jesus and grow in spiritual maturity. (Ephesians 4:1-16)

This means you are a part of something bigger than yourself. This means the gift God has given you truly matters. This means your “yes” will help others come to know and experience Christ.

Audio/Visual

To create a sanctuary of worship through audio and visual production

Baptism

To love the church by providing baptism support and planning

TLC Kids

To foster a nurturing and Christ-centered environment for children

Hospitality

To create a warm and inviting atmosphere for all, reflecting the love of Jesus for His people

Iron Workers

To love the community by offering handyman skills and assistance

Worship

To usher the congregation into the presence of God

Groundskeeping

To maintain and beautify our church grounds, creating a welcoming environment for our community.

FAQS

  • We ask that every Serve team member go through Membership 101 before joining a team. This helps to make sure we are all aligned with mission and goals as we build our church together!

  • We have a digital application you can submit at the end of this page.

  • Every team’s requirement is difference. Many teams can usually work with your schedule and capacity as well so don’t be afraid to apply and discuss with our Serve team coordinator!

  • Yes! Some teams overlap with their formal serving times (i.e. Worship and Hospitality) but there are plenty of opportunities to serve in more than one team (i.e. Worship and Iron Workers, etc).

  • The most important trait to have as a Serve member is a heart to serve.

    After that, there may be different qualifications depending on what team you want to serve on.

    While some teams do require more in-depth skills (like musical skills for Worship), we have teams that are accessible to most of the congregation (i.e. Prayer, Hospitality, etc).

    If there is a team you would love to serve on but are unsure about your skillset, we can always talk through your situation and how best we can support your serving journey.
