Who We Are

True Life Church Tulsa is a vibrant, multi-generational church blending traditions with a fresh approach to create a space for all to experience the Gospel.

We are dedicated to fostering a thriving community grounded in the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Our History

TLC Hickory sends a church plant team, led by Koncheng Daniel Yang and family, to establish True Life Church (TLC) in Tulsa. We first gather at Believers Church and begin with one small group.

The mission was to follow the early church's practices, guided by teachings in Acts 2:41-47 and the New Testament. Our aim was to adhere to Jesus Christ's Great Commandment and Great Commission, focusing on living and sharing the gospel in a meaningful way.

2020

On Easter Sunday, we move our congregation to Wright Christian Academy, maintaining an average attendance of 40 people. This year is marked by small but steady progress amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, a factor that affected churches across the globe.

2021

True Life Church Tulsa becomes officially installed in the CM&A, a significant milestone that represents our recognition and commitment within the wider church community. During this period, we see remarkable growth. Our leadership team expands, and our congregation's numbers continue to rise, demonstrating the strength and dedication of our community.

2022

Our church reaches an average attendance of 110 people and expands to include 8 small groups. This growth reflects many nights of prayer and continual commitment to seeing the love of Jesus known throughout the growing Hmong community in Tulsa.

2023

Our Values

  • As we grow deeper in our faith with God, we start to desire what God desires.

  • One of our greatest privileges as Christians to go and make disciples, to seek the lost and bring them to an understanding of Jesus.

  • Small groups are the heartbeat of the church. Through small groups, we are able to do life with one another and experience God as it is told in Acts 2.

  • We believe the same Holy Spirit that empowers the disciples to cast out demons is the same Holy Spirit that lives within us today.

  • We believe that God has a placed every single person with a purpose.

  • Just as Jesus loved and dedicated himself to the community, we believe we have the same calling.

  • The church is a family of believers, not a corporation.

  • Ministry is not a chore but a blessing from God. Our desire for our leaders is that they serve from an overflow stemming from God’s goodness in their lives.
